Day 94- filling holes with hearts

Today’s first for the ‘one new thing a day for 100 days’ new years resolution was to use patching fabric to cover up 2 holes in my down jacket.  I had planned to use good old rip stop tape until I struck up a conversation the other day with a woman who works part time at a fabric store.  Gotta love creativity.  I more fun than I anticipated doing this, left me thinking I ought to make a cute pair of patched pants for my little nephews out in Virginia…

All said and done the experience left me with new ideas and saved me a bit of mullah, too.

Liquid Stiches: $4; Fabric for patches: $.98, total $4.98

Average price for black rip stop: $11.00
